Welcome! I am Hem Chandra Joshi, a researcher working on Ethical AI [Fairness, Accountability, Transparency, and Explainability] domain.
I am currently a Faculty AI Fellow. Previously, I was associated with the IndiaAI Mission under the Responsible AI theme, where I worked on synthetic data generation. I have also received the UGC-Junior Research Fellowship (UGC-JRF) and worked as a Senior Research Fellow at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) . I hold an M.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence from University of Hyderabad , supported by a GATE Scholarship.
My Long-term Goal
To identify and address ethical challenges in AI systems, including algorithmic bias, fairness, interpretability, and explainability, through the development of responsible and trustworthy AI methodologies. Although AI systems have achieved remarkable capabilities, ensuring their transparency, fairness, and trustworthiness in critical domains remains a significant challenge.
